2015 Chicago Summer Institute in Law and Economics
Hi! As the Summer Institute in Law and Economics at the University of Chicago enters its fourth year, I am amazed at how successful the program has been. Each year is more diverse, with representation from scholars and institutions around the world, and from an increasing number of disciplines. I am continually impressed with the quality of our applicant pool, and each year, we look to you as the best source for spreading the word about the program.
The focus for the meetings in 2015 will be Economic Analysis of Contracts and Commercial Law. Chicago’s world class faculty will offer courses on a variety of topics, and scholars will have the opportunity to present their work during panel sessions. If you have not yet attended the Summer Institute, I would encourage you to apply again.
If you have already attended, I would much appreciate your taking time to share this link and your experiences at the Summer Institute with your colleagues, either at your law school or at other institutions, who might be interested in the program or in the courses being offered. We would also be pleased to have you apply to attend again, as some of our past participants have participated in multiple years.
We encourage any faculty who have an interest in multi-disciplinary approaches to the law to apply for the 2015 Summer Institute program—the training, the networking opportunities, and the social events make it the best two-weeks of the year for many of our participants, and we are eager to expand and broaden our circle of Chicago Summer Institute alumni.
Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions you may have.
We look forward to receiving your applications, and we hope to see many new participants in Chicago in July!
